The city was named from its location on a plain at a lofty elevation, where a “plain view” can be had of the surrounding area.
Trisha joined CEDA as a Community and Business Development Specialist in 2025. Bringing experience in project management, she knows how to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to get a project done. Her background also includes Healthcare, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Administrative Support. Prior to working at CEDA, Trisha worked in Strategic Planning at Bridgestone America and IT and Project Management at Mayo Clinic. Trisha grew up in a small town in Southeastern Minnesota and still resides in the area today with her husband.
Oronoco is located about 11 miles north of Rochester.
The town sits along the Middle Fork of the Zumbro River.
Rebecca joined the CEDA team in May of 2017. Rebecca has a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Wales, Swansea, and Bachelor of Science in Political Science from South Dakota State University. She has spent the past 15 years working on/leading political campaigns for both local and national candidates, as well as issue based campaigns.
Rebecca’s interest in rural economic development stems from her experiences working with rural communities during her political career, where she heard about the needs and difficulties facing rural communities across the nation. She has a strong desire to help to make positive changes for rural America.
Madelia is a city in Watonwan County and sits along the Watonwan River.
Nestled away in a small county of Minnesota is the community of Madelia. Madelia is a community with a long and rich history, founded in 1857 by Philander Hartshorn.
Celia joined the CEDA team in August of 2023 as a Community and Business Development Specialist for the City of Madelia and Faribault County. She has a strong background in community programming, assisting and facilitating digital literacy workshops and youth robotics competitions through an American Connection Corps fellowship. In her community, she dedicates her free time to various community groups, supporting youth and diverse populations.
