Steve Gershman
Stephen Gershman joined CEDA in February 2025 as the Community and Business Development Specialist for Bayfield & Washburn Counties in Wisconsin. Originally from North Dakota, Stephen graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Business Administration and Management. He brings over 25 years of experience from the Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment industries. Stephen also proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Flight Paramedic in Aerospace Rescue and Recovery. He is actively involved in veteran's outreach.
Stephen resides in Hayward, WI, with his wife Valerie and their Miniature Schnauzer, Wilson. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and fishing.
Michael Decker
Mike possesses a comprehensive educational background, holding a bachelor's degree in business and public administration, complemented by a master's degree in public administration. His academic pursuits have endowed him with a robust understanding of business principles and underscored the significance of community service. This foundation has been instrumental in shaping his professional trajectory.
Throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated exemplary leadership in the healthcare sector, notably serving as President and CEO of Divine Savior Healthcare in Portage, Wisconsin, for over 25 years. Under his stewardship, the organization grew to employ more than 1,000 staff members and managed an annual budget exceeding $100 million. His role involved strategic collaboration with diverse stakeholders, overseeing complex financial systems, and managing large-scale projects.
Looking ahead, Mike is committed to supporting the Washburn County Economic Development Corporation. His goal is to assist in expanding the tax base, creating new employment opportunities, and retaining existing businesses within the county.
